So, something that I am aware of is that all of the articles up until now have been from my perspective. To switch it up a little and give you a different point of view, I asked one of my guy friends to talk you through his perception of things, in particular: one night stands.
My plan here is to write exactly what he said; even though some of it may be debatable, it's his perspective and I'm not about to interfere. Equally, I'm aware that this is just one guy's opinion; men are not a homogenous group and don't all think the same (despite what it may seem hehe). So, that said, here are his thoughts on one night stands:
"A lot of guys go out looking for a one night stand; because of this, they see the night as a failure if they don't get something from a girl, even if that something is little i.e. a dance, a snapchat, a number, because that gives them a way in in the future. The reason we want this level of attention and interaction is because there's just something about being able to go out, chat up a girl, then go home with her in the space of a few hours that MASSIVELY strokes your ego and makes you believe in your sauce. Also, you get to have fun with someone new and exciting and, because it began as a one night stand, there's no pressure to speak again if you don't want to. Now, that doesn't mean you can't carry on speaking and form some sort of thing, but for me personally, if it started as a one night stand I'm not thinking about having a relationship with the person. If it happens then so be it, but my initial thought is: if she has regular one night stands, she's just going to be a casual acquaintance. The good thing is, one night stands are normalised in today's world; they're much more socially acceptable nowadays, possibly because of dating apps. People are looking to increase the number of people they can call anytime for a bit of fun when they have nothing else to do. Oh and a top tip: in my experience its better to go back to the girls house cause it makes them feel comfortable."
